About Teach Tutors™
Providing peer tutors and aides with quality training is a critical part of creating successful tutoring and instructional aide programs; however, when I first began facilitating programs in my Northern California school district, I was unable to find an appropriate training curriculum. Over the years, I have spent countless hours researching and working with students, tutors, administrators, aides and teachers learning how to best meet this need. As a result, I have created an effective, practical and easy-to-use peer tutor and paraeducator/classroom aide training workbook designed to help individuals acquire critical skills to be successful working with students. I know that you will find it to be an essential curriculum for preparing your peer tutors and classroom aides to work in the classroom!

I recently completely updated the training materials to align with common core standards and to the include additional topics such as interacting with individuals with disabilities and teaching study skills. (See the Table of Contents for a full listing of topics covered in the workbook.) Also, the new digital PDF version of the peer tutoring and instructional aide curriculum has proven to be extremely popular as it provides convenience and savings to schools, academic institutions and organizations!

Since launching the new Teach Tutors website two years ago,
I've had the opportunity to speak with educators from all over the
United States who have been using the workbook to train their
middle school, high school and college aged peer tutors and
adult instructional aides, mentors and volunteers. I have also
received several orders from countries outside of the United
States including Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland
and South Africa. As a result, I am now proud to be able to offer the PDF workbook in a version containing British/UK English spelling for educators who prefer this option.

Lastly, Teach Tutors has several Pinterest Boards which you can visit for additional great ideas, tips and free resources related to peer tutors, student mentors and paraprofessionals. You can follow the Pinterest Boards if you would like to receive a few new tips or lesson ideas each month.

Please take a look around and let me know what you think. I am always happy to hear your ideas, suggestions and feedback.
